Let’s face it, we’re not used to seeing Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe in anything more than her usual skimpy outfits.
So when the diva changed her Twitter avatar into a modest picture of herself covering her hair and face with only her eyes showing, we were in a bit of a surprise.
But yes, it was Haifa in the pic; you cannot mistake her distinctively beautiful eyes.
The picture, sporting a more respectful appearance, was meant to go with the theme of the Holy month of Ramadan.
According to Al Muheet News, Haifa tweeted congratulations to her fans on the arrival of the blessed month and asked what each will be having for the first day of Suhur (A meal eaten before dawn before fasting begins).
As for the singer’s acting career she was due to appear in the Ramadan drama “Mawlid Wa Sahbo Ghayeb” (Mawlid/Celebration Missing its Celebrated) in which she plays the role of a dancer.
The show, which was deemed inappropriate, has been postponed until after Ramadan, for the second year running.
Perhaps Haifa is trying to prove a point with her new pic then?
