Shireen Wajdi journeys the world looking for love

Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi recently was in Lebanon for the shooting of her new music video for the song "Lafait Bilad Allah" (I Traveled the World) under the direction of Lebanese director Mirna Abu Elias. Shireen had previously sung the song with the Kuwaiti band Gitara who are also accompanying the singer and will be in the music video. 

 

According to the London based Elaph, the filming process for the new clip took two days to complete, which was record breaking for Mirna. The theme of the clip revolves around looking Shireen and her quest to find her love.  

 

Wajdi has given her initial acceptance to be part of the prestigious Jordanian Jarash summer festival, to be among the large list of prominent Arab singers who will be participating in the big event. Shireen will also be taking part in a number of other festivals around the Arab world expanding her popularity.  

 

The singer recently shot a new song "Oyoun Al Atfal" (Eyes of Children), under the direction of Rami Imam (Son of Egyptian comedian actor Adel Imam), in the form of a music video as a special dedication to children every where around the world. The song was translated into a number of languages, and was chosen by UNICEF to be the highlight of all the charity events they plan to hold supporting the hungry and needy children.  

 

Wajdi was nominated for the leading role in the new TV drama series that revolves around the life of Algerian renowned singer Warda. It was revealed that the script of the series is currently being prepared and written by Mahfouz Abdul Rahma, who is the same writer that wrote the successful drama series Umm Kalthoom tackling the life of the late icon Kawkab Al Sharq, in complete secrecy.  

 

Shireen will play the role of Warda tackling different stages throughout the great singer's life. The drama will be produced under the supervision of Shireen's husband, Ehab Til'at. Scenes will revolve around the beginning of Warda's career and discovering her talent, then moving on to her marriage and resignation from the music world, and ending with her return to Cairo and singing once more after her divorce, and finally will include scenes about her relationship with the late prominent Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi. –Albawaba.com
