The Egyptian actress Shireen Saif Alnaser has decided to postpone her artistic projects until the filming of the TV serial “And Love is Still Continuous” edited by Mohammed Al Basousi is finished.
Hussein Fahmi and other actors and actresses are costars in the series which is directed by Tayseer Abboud and tells the story of a Mafia arms merchant in Cairo.
The Egyptian actress plays the role of a poor girl called “Ammouneh” who lives in one of Cairo’s quarters which is inhabited by thieves, paper tissue and flower merchants. Ammonah falls in love with “Ezz” played by Ashraf Zaki.
Shireen tells the serial’s story by describing how a brief case belonging to a businessman, Hussein Fahmi was stolen. The businessman guards, and assistants, accuse her of the theft and so they captured her. She promised to return the bag to the businessman and she really did. The businessman admired Shireen and decided to make her something else: Iman, the owner of a tourist company in Beirut.
Shireen started work without knowing the past history and the nature of the businessman’s work. But by that time, Iman started to know that the businessman deals with the Mafia and so when he got into trouble, she did her best to save him and his family particularly when she knew that he was patriotic and true to his Egyptian roots. She knew also that he was against disorder and bloodshed and helping the resistance against Israel in Lebanon and providing them with free arms.
Shireen says that “such role is new to me and therefore I play it in a warm and sincere manner. I hope I shall achieve a great success in playing my role.”
