Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab has refused an offer from singer Tamer Husni for the leading female role in his upcoming film “Amr and Salma”. Shireen justified her refusal by stressing that she did not feel the role suited her and considered it more of a supporting role rather then a leading one.

Shireen asserted that even if she was offered one million Egyptian pounds for the role she would not accept it, because money is not the issue for her rather the fact that if she accepts a role it must add to her career.

Husni is currently preparing to shoot the scenes for “Amr and Salmi”. Tamer himself wrote the story of the film and the script will be written by Bilal Fadel.

Tamer’s business manager Nasr Mahrous will be producing the new film.

Tamer revealed that he is still on the lookout for a director to direct the work as well as for the right female to star with him.

Shireen has denied circulating rumors that she will announce her engagement.

Shireen, who broke off an engagement last year to a businessman, said she has no intention of getting engaged again at this time.

The singer explained that she is usually attacked with such rumors when she is about to release a new album, and if she were to find the right man to marry, she would gladly publicly announce it.
