Egyptian singer Shireen denied strongly the most recent circulating rumors that she and Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker have secretly gotten married. The singer stressed that a very good friendship is the only form of bond between them nothing more or less.

According to the Egyptian based weekly, Al Nogoom, Shireen revealed that the fact that she and Fadel sang a duet together recently is what made such rumors come out. She added that Fadel is a happily married man with children and nor she or Fadel would ever jeopardize that.

The duet "New Year" between Shireen and Fadel has proven great success especially due to the way the video clip was filmed and the timing of its release, which was during New Year's Eve. Despite the great success of the duet, Shireen ended up having many problems with her producer, Naser Mahrous, over its creation.

The problem that was raised by Mahrous was due to the fact that he has sole rights over all Shireen's music production and since the duet was created without his knowledge. Shireen on her part insisted that she had notified Nasr of the matter and that he was in on all of its details. It was also revealed that many other problems had occurred previously between Shireen and her producer over financial matters.

On his part, Fadel did not give any comments regarding the matter and simply said that he was ecstatic about having the chance to sing the duet with Shireen. The two chose the song and recorded it together, in addition to filming a music video for it under the direction of Said Al Marouq. The song was recorded in recording studios in Lebanon, and talks about two lovers meeting on New Year's Eve and they exchange hope and wishes for good times that bring them closer to each other.

Shireen and Fadel held numerous performances together in Lebanon, Canada and the United States of America. All their concerts were marked with remarkable success due to the fact that both have reached a point where their popularity is expanding at a fast rate.

Shireen is also busy in the acting world where she is taken part in the new film "Intiqam Ala Tarikati" (Revenge My Way) in London. The film will mark Shireen's second acting experience the first being in the film "Mido Mashakil" (Mido Trouble).

Shireen will be costarring alongside some of the most prominent Egyptian actors like Nour El Sherif, Hussein Fahmi, Majida Zaki, Hisham Salim, and Ghada Abdul Riziq. The singer had very recently completed shooting her latest music video for the song "Ana La Jaia Aqulak" (I'm Not Coming To Tell You) in Lebanon. The song is currently aired on the new music channel Melody.

Shireen, who has managed to make a name for herself in the music world and find appreciation from listeners, has decided to present herself with a new look to go with her new album. The singer felt that she needed a bit of spicing up if she wanted to compete with other singers, and so took advantage of her trip to Lebanon and had a complete makeover.

Shireen had consulted a Lebanese makeup and hair expert, and had him change the way she looks making her appear more romantic and alive. It was revealed that Shireen headed to Lebanon to hold concerts for the first time throughout her music career.
