Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab has filed a lawsuit against her record producer Nasr Mahrous demanding that to breaks the contract between them. Shireen stressed that Nasr only produces one album for her every two years, a matter that affects her career and is against the conditions in their contract.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, Shireen added that the contract between her and Mahrous clearly states that he must produce an album for her every year. The singer noted that at the current time she must present a new music style that is different from the ones she had been using.
Shireen stressed that she insists on breaking the contract with Mahrous, even if the court does not grant it to her. She revealed that Mahrous has failed to offer her any of the advantages offered to other singers by different production companies.
On his part, Mahrous was shocked with Shireen’s demands not knowing what led her to such actions. Mahrous added that he is sure someone is pushing Shireen to such actions and stressed that the contract between them is for eight years and she is not allowed to undergo any kind of entertaining activities unless he gives her written permission.
Mahrous revealed that he discovered that Shireen intends on starring in a new film without taking his permission, a matter that is against the conditions of their contract. He added that his company offers Shireen all the advantages she needs and is the key behind her success.
This does not mark the first time disputes erupt between Shireen and Mahrous. In the past disputes broke out but were resolved peacefully. Mahrous had filed a new lawsuit against Shireen to forbid her from getting a permit for any entertaining activity unless he approves.
