Iraqi singer Shatha Hassoun has returned to the seventies in her latest music video for the song “Shu Fi Baynak wi Bainha” (What is between you and her).
Shatha plays the role of a jealous woman that interrogates her lover and wants to know the details of his every conversation with another woman.
The clip marks a turning point in Shatha’s career, portraying a new side of her character discovered by director Joe Bu Obeid. The clip is the first cooperation between Joe and Shatha and he is scheduled to film another clip for her in the near future.
According to the London based Elaph, Shatha revealed that the clip was created by her and Joe, and that she wanted the clip to be close to reality.
Joe said that Shatha possess great energy that needs to be released to reveal her full potential.
