After the critical surgery renowned Egyptian star Sharihan has done last Tuesday, doctors at the Pitie Salpetriere hospital in Paris will be waiting for the results today, according to the Egyptian daily, Al Ahram newspaper.

Doctors said that Sharihan's status is stable, and confirmed that her determination to recover is helping them a lot in the treatment. "The surgery was not easy," one of the doctors said, adding that the 18-hour implantation of the nerve and muscle taken from her thigh, was one of the rare cases they have ever dealt with.

On the other hand, while everyone is waiting for Shrihan's news in Egypt, comedian Egyptian star Is'ad Yunis, chairman of the board at the Arab Production and Distribution Company, decided yesterday to screen Sharihan's works in all the movie theatres the company owns. The 50 theatres will start screening Sharihan's latest movie "Al Ishq Wal Dam" (Love and Blood), which granted her the Best Actress prize at the 18th Alexandria Film Festival last month.

The London based Asharq Al Awsat newspaper has reported that Is'ad Yunis, the first wife of Sharihan's husband Alaa' Khawaja, worked hardly last week denying Sharihan's death and providing all news agencies with a full information about her status.

The Egyptian embassy, for its part, has said this week that Sharihan got several phone calls during this week following the surgery from well known figures in Egypt, including Noor al Sherief, Nagla' Fathi, Izzat al Alaili, Mohammed Subhi, Hussein Fahmi, Adel Imam, and Mamdouh al Laithi. – Albawaba.com
