The current unstable events in Egypt have caused prominent Egyptian actress Sharihan to postpone her long awaited return to the entertainment scene. Sharihan had intended to mark her return in a new drama to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2012.

Producer Issam Shabaan owner of the production company ‘King Tut’, which was the company Sharihan chose to make her return with, revealed that the recent conditions in Egypt famous Tahrir Square with demonstrations opposing the unjust Military Council rule led Sharihan to postpone all work on the drama that was selected for her to star in. Issam said that Sharihan was very enthusiastic about the drama and eager to begin work on it, but the demonstrations, which she is taking part in, caused the project to be halted until conditions are stable once again.

Issam denied recent rumors that the intended dramas Sharihan was to star in were either “Al Khansaa” or “Rab’aah Al Adawieh”. He added that Sharihan wants the drama that marks her return to be a unique one that will suit her long awaited comeback.
