ALBAWABA - Kuwaiti singer Shams posted a touching video while on her way to leave Lebanon amid rising tension between Israel and Hezbollah.

In a video, Shams declared that she holds huge respect for the Lebanese people as she is very proud of them.

She said: "I learn strength and resilience from the Lebanese, because of their keenness to continue their lives despite the harsh circumstances they are going through, especially the security situation amidst threats of war."

The singer was in one of the restaurants in Lebanon and explained that she expected to find the place empty amid the difficult security situation, but she was surprised to find it crowded.

Singer Shams further noted that she would be leaving the county and said that she was not afraid of the rising tension but she will be departing soon for reasons linked to her mother.

Since the Israeli attack on Lebanon's southern Beirut that killed senior Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukr on July 30 and then the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, many countries called their citizens to leave Lebanon amid fears of expanded war.
