Trying to have a good time in Saudi Arabia can be tough at times, but that didn't stop a group of people organizing a mixed-gender party in the capital, Riyadh, on Wednesday.

Attending the party was famous UAE singer Shamma Hamdan, who was singing for those at the event. Shamma became famous after appearing on Arabs Got Talent.

But the partygoers' good mood didn't last for too long, as Saudi's religious police raided the party and arrested its organizers, Al Saudeh Arabic language daily said.

Shamma hurriedly fled the scene and was able to dodge being arrested.

“There was news that Shamma Hamdan managed to flee. Organisers of the party were arrested,” the paper said without giving other details.

Shamma, one of the most famous UAE signers, was born in Dubai in 1994 to Emirati father and mother.
