Rehearsals for the play Tiatro Lil Baya (Theater for Sale) directed by Sayyed Khattab, written by Mustafa Saad and costarring the popular singer Shaaban Abdel Rehim are underway.
Saidah Jalal, Mohammed Abul Hassan and Maha Al Badri are also in the cast.
The play depicts weddings and birthday parties through the lives of Abdel Rehim and the gypsy dancer Jalal, who are entertainers. Their troupe faces financial hardships and ends up with only one option: selling their theater.
The play will be staged before the end of this month at the Balloon Theater in Cairo - Albawaba.com
