Some live by the Conspiracy Theory and speculate that kids' TV shows are crammed with subliminal messages. But are cartoons and Disney films really not that innocent?
One Saudi TV personality seems to think so! He went on air to claim that children’s shows like “Sesame Street” are Jewish-Zionist plots to ruin humanity.
“A normal child, who has been watching TV from the age of two, has been assaulted by all kinds of films,” said Nabil Hammad, a former director for the Saudi channel the interview aired on. “How did the ‘sagging’ pants fashion ever emerge? The men wear their pants so low that their private parts are exposed. This fashion originated on the Cartoon Network channel. The Cartoon Network aired a film showing the longest spit. What kind of education do we provide?”
“It is not only the future generations of the Islamic world that are destroyed — the moral values of humanity are destroyed,” he added in the May 15 interview, which has now been reported on by Memri, a watchdog that monitors Arab media.
Hammad then pointed out two famous characters from Sesame Street, Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster, calling them examples of the poor values inflicted on children, before referring to “[a Zionist] conspiracy to destroy humanity and its moral values.”
“All the global film companies–note that I say ‘all’ not ‘most’–all the global film companies are owned by Jews…Why did they produce Mickey Mouse? Why did they focus on a mouse? There is a plan to destroy human thought and all of humanity…Mickey Mouse, the rodent, became a hero and a superstar. The destruction of human morality is an old Zionist-Jewish scheme.”
