Carrie Mathison is racking up her frequent flier miles.

Showtime's hit series 'Homeland' will began shooting its fifth season in Germany, the network said in a statement on Monday, departing from its signature Middle-Eastern setting.

The drama is set to pick up two years after last season's finale, with the cast newly based in Germany. The Emmy-Award-winning show will begin production this summer at Berlin's Babelsberg studios, ahead of it's fall 2015 airing date.

Last season was shot in South Africa as a stand in for Pakistan, where the plot was set.

Homeland, starring Claire Danes as a CIA operations officer, is based on the Israeli show Hatufim (Prisoners of War.)

Parts of the first and second seasons of the program were filmed in Israel.
