Saudi actress Reem Abdullah is apparently too busy to act! The actress has turned down all offers to appear in dramas this Ramadan.
Reem said that the roles offered didn't suit her and she is preoccupied with more personal matters during this time.
She may not be appearing on the small screen, but according to Sayidaty.net Reem will be making the starring role in a fairly new Saudi film titled “Wadjda.”
Although cinemas don't exist in Saudi, ironically, the film will be screened for a period of one week in Riyadh by the Saudi Arab Cultural and Arts Association.
But the movie has already been screened in France, Italy and other countries. In addition, it as received numerous awards at several film festivals.
That's a good enough reason not to need to appear in any dramas this Holy month!
The film was written and directed by Haifa Al Mansour and stars Reem, Abdel Rahman Al Jahni and child star Waed Mohammad.
