Last Saturday morning, after shooting many scenes of the film Jaana Albayan Attali (We Have Received yhe Following Communiqué), costarring Mohammed Hnaidi and Hanan Turk, director Said Hamed was forced to stop filming due to a sand storm, according to Akhbar Annujum magazine.
Actress Hanan was forced to hide inside the cast caravan when the sand left her gasping, while Hnaidi stayed inside his car for hours waiting for the weather conditions to improve enough to resume filming.
After hours of waiting, the sand had buried any hope of starting again. Hanan kidded with the production manager about the problem. The producer did not comment, but just smiled. Hanan added, “the loss will be big, and I know it will reach 50,000 pounds.”
All the stars kept in their positions, particularly since the preparations for the filming had been in the works for a long time. Filming during the daylight hours had been scheduled, as well as at night.
Despite the fact that the weather conditions were getting worse and worse, none of the cast had the courage to ask for the shooting to be called off, because everybody knew that this would cost 50,000 pounds.
Finally, the outside scenes shot were cancelled, but upon Hnaidi’s insistence, the team moved to a building for filming scenes indoors.
Meanwhile, Alaa Waliyiddin was luckier. He was filming indoor scenes at the studio on the same day, pulling together his film Iben Ezz, which he seeks to wrap up quickly for a summer release - Albawaba.com
