Renowned Moroccan singer Samira Saeed released a press release in which she sent a formal apology to the World Music Awards organizers for being unable to attend their awards ceremony in Monaco to receive her award for “Best Single” in person.
Samira didn’t specify what her reasons for not attending were, but said that a number of unfortunate circumstances are behind it.
Although the singer has started working on her new album following the death of her mother in April, some think she’s still grieving and isn’t ready for major public appearances just yet.
Get well soon, Samira!
