Egyptian veteran comedic actor Samir Ghanem is currently finding himself very busy reading a script for two new series.

Both scripts, not surprisingly, are comedies. The first is entitled Ja’alouni Mutriban (They Made me a Singer) and the second is Al Dunya Khutout (Life is Lines).

While the former takes on the problems of rising singers and singers with no talent, while the latter speaks of ‘calculations’ within the society.

In an interview with Al Sharq El Awsat newspaper, Ghanem said that he is genuinely disappointed that he was not able to accommodate his fans this Ramadan.

The actor, who was scheduled to appear in two shows found out late last month that both series had to be cancelled because of technical difficulties.

Ghanem went on to express that he misses the small screen in Ramadan but promised his fans a great performance in Fatouta, next year.

He added, “I am ready to go back to the screen as the character Fatouta, next Ramadan. But, I will also promise to surprise my audience with a completely different character and a new idea to the role. “

The actor said that the quirky character will now become an out of work director who is constantly followed by failure.

Ghanem also expressed his love for the Islamic holy month saying “Rmamdan, to me is a fruitful season. I have great memories in it that are very dear to my heart.” – Albawaba.com.
