The Egyptian Minister of Information, Safwat al Sherif concluded Tuesday the Eighth Cairo Radio and TV Festival by handing out the prizes to the winners in a ceremony held at the Media Production City Theater. Many Arab delegations participated in the event with more than 1042 art productions.
In TV productions, the historical series “Salahiddin al Ayyoubi” (Syria) won the golden prize while the two Egyptian series “Justice Has Many Faces” and “Hag Mitwalli Family” shared the golden prize for the best contemporary series.
Golden prizes went also to the TV film “In Compliance with Public Amenities” (Egypt) and to the long narrative film “Sadat Days” (Egypt). The prize for best short film went to the Bahraini film “Camera.”
As for documentary films the golden prize went to the film “God’s House” (Palestine) while the golden prize for best feature went to the program “Keep Camera Away.. Otherwise” (Egypt). The program’s special golden prize went to “Innocents” (UAE). “Tent” (Palestine) secured the golden prize in the Palestinian resistance contest.
In the radio contests the prize for best historical series went to “Talat Harb” (Egypt); in contemporary series contest the prize went to “Leopards” (Jordan); in drama contest, the prize went to “Dastour Ya Siadna” (Egypt).
In the festival’s special contest for Palestinian resistance the golden prize was shared between “Dreams and Gunpowder” (Palestine) and “Message from Resisters” (Egypt) – Albawaba.com
