Egyptian film “Tattah”, starring comedian Mohammad Saed, is close to surpassing the already mind-blowing profits achieved by the film "Samir Abu Al Nile", starring fellow Egyptian funny-man Ahmad Makki. Mohammad's film has been a blockbuster hit at the cinemas and has become more popular than Ahmad's, despite the fact that "Tattah" was released a week after "Samir Abu Al Nile".

According to Sayidaty.net, profits from Mohammad's film have already reached over 4.5 million Egyptian pounds compared to the 5 million achieved by Ahmad's film so far.

Some economists claim that the Egyptian box office has been witnessing an overall decrease in profits, but these two films have revived the film industry and are bringing people back to the movies once more. Needless to say, competition between the dueling comedic flicks is rumored to be very fierce.

It seems Saed's fame is deserved and movie theater owners believe that the film by Mohammad will definitely fill more seats than Ahmad's.
