Egyptian resigned actress Sabrine was stopped at Cairo Airport by security guards stressing that her name is listed in their documents among people who are prohibited from leaving the country. Sabrine was stopped accompanied by her husband, Egyptian businessman Tareq Jalal Mahmoud, when they were on their way to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, the resigned actress demanded an explanation on why she is not allowed to leave the country, but was given no answer and simply told the decision came from a higher official. Close friends to Sabrine stressed that they think Sabrine's first husband is behind the decision.

Sabrine had recently married in complete privacy with the presence of only the closest friends and family members. Sabrine stressed that she does not plan to live in the US as previous rumors had it due to her husband’s work. Jalal owns a tourism agency in the state of New Jersey called Platinum. She added that she could never imagine living outside her country and not be surrounded by her family and friends.

Sabrine noted that she had come to an agreement with her husband that he will be traveling every once in a while to the US for his work, while she stayed in Egypt. The actress denied sayings that she intends on returning to the acting world, and is surprised many had in fact believed her return. She said that her acting career is completely over and the thought of returning is impossible.

Sabrine set previous conditions for her husband–to-be that state that she will not under any circumstance take off her Hijab (Islamic headdress) or return to acting, which Sadiq agreed to.

In a complete secrecy and without the mentioning of any reason, Sabrine separated from her first husband Yaser Abdul Lateef, a successful Egyptian businessman, last October. The star refused to comment on the news, but said that she wanted to be left alone with her only son Noor at her mother’s house in Cairo. Several news circulated saying that the star gave up all her financial rights, in order to quickly finish the procedures.

Sabrine had begun her show business career at the age of five. Her relationship with her father, who was a trapeze artist with the National Circus, was similar, in many respects, to that shared by Umm Kulthoum and her father, which granted the star the opportunity to successfully play the role of Umm Kalthoum in the latest TV series she acted before her retirement. – Albawaba.com
