Tunisian singer Saber Al Ruba’ee recently released the song “Izzet Nafsi” (My Pride) in Beirut, which has witnessed great success. Saber attributes this success to the song’s subject matter, which addresses the issue of pride and how it does not allow people to forget the pain inflicted by others, particularly by a lover. Saber has won praise from critics for choosing such a thoughtful topic.
Saber revealed that the director, Waleed Nasef, has chosen a completely new idea for the clip and the perfect location to film it. The song, written by Nizar Francis and composed by Saber himself, is sung in the Lebanese dialect.
Saber will join Lebanese singer Najwa Karam in a performance tour of Australia. Both singers are scheduled to hold three performances starting off in Sydney, then heading to Melbourne, and returning to Sydney once more.
The tour is expected to enjoy great success, especially due to their popularity amongst Australia’s Arab population. The Lebanese radio station, the Voice of Tomorrow, will broadcast live interviews with both singers from their headquarters in Australia.
