A Cairo court has set November 2 as the hearing date to decide on the verdict in the case filed by one of the contracting companies against prominent singer Sabah demanding that aide by the terms of the contract between them, which basically states that the singer sold the company her apartment.
The company claimed that Sabah had sold them her apartment on June 22, 1985 for a price of 50 thousand Egyptian pounds and had received the amount in full. A full description of the company was given with its location. Sabah had failed to abide by the terms of the contract and shift the property right to it and did not remove any of her belongings from it.
According to the London based weekly, Dar Al Hayat, the company is demanding that Sabah hands over the apartment and is hopeful the court will rule in its favor.
On a different note, military barricades surrounded the filming scene of the new clip that brought Sabah and rising singer Rola together once more. Sabah had chosen to film the clip in a palace near that of General Michel Oun, who is a good friend of Sabah.
The general atmosphere on location was a very comfortable one, especially since director Basheer Asmar is working with the two singers for the second time in the clip that is in some ways an extension of the first the two singers made.
The second clip features a large number of people all formally dressed for a fancy dinner that is coordinated by Sabah. Inside the palace, the viewers will be surprised by the famous celebrity, whose identity is concealed until the clip is aired.
With regards to her working with Rola, Sabah revealed that she considers Rola to be very talented and has real potential. She added that if she did not believe in Rola’s capabilities as a singer, she would not have agreed to sing with her in the first place.
Sabah was recently in Yemen where she held two grand performances, marking her first time in the country since the start of her career.
Sabah's performance came as part of Yemen's celebration for its National Day.
A number of Arab intellectuals and artists took part in the celebrations.
