Rula fails

These days Lebanese artist Rula Saed is going through a very rough time, due to the failure of her new film “Al Ghorfah 707” (Room 707) that did not meet expectations. the famous singer is mad and depressed for the small amount of profit that “Room 707” made.


Despite the intense advertisement for it in the streets, movie theaters and even on many satellite channels; many movie theaters are taking it down from its lists. The movie only made a profit close to 700 thousand Egyptian pounds in the two weeks that it was played in movie theaters.


 Rula held the production company for the failure of the film, because it was responsible for not releasing it during the beginning of the year for the middle of the year holidays. Rula adds that she prepared herself three times for the releasing after she finished with the filming. Rula was surprised to see that it was released in February, and as she puts it “It was bad timing.”


 “Room 707” stars Rula, Majdi Kamel, Sami Al Adel, Samir Muhsin, Tareq Al Tilmsani and a large number of new actors. The film is romantic and at the same time social, where it was taken from the well-known story of “Romeo and Juliet”.
