Egyptian controversial singer Ruby has revealed that the reason behind her not holding live performances is the fact that she gets stage fright and becomes too shy when standing in front of an audience. She added that the reason she has been away from the scenes in the recent period is due to the state of depression she fell in over the recent death of her grandmother.
During an interview on the show “Ahla Al Nojoom” (The best of stars) that is aired on the satellite channel Al Nahar, Ruby stated that she prefers singing over acting. She added that when she is singing and dancing she enters a new realm that takes her away from the realities of life.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Ruby stressed that her separation from her former business manager Shareef Sabri affected her in a management sense only and had no effect whatsoever on her career, revealing that she dreams of finding a good business manager like Jiji Lamara, who is the manager of Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram.
Ruby denied that her split from Sabri is behind her not holding any live performances and stressed her bashfulness is the only reason, but at the same time stated that she does not have camera fright and loves singing and dancing behind the camera.
