Robert Redford, Oscar-winning director, dies aged 89

ALBAWABA - American actor and director Robert Redford passed away aged 89. 

Robert Redford starred in many successful movies, including "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "All the President's Men".

He also gained an Oscar award for directing “Ordinary People” and founded the Sundance Film Institute.

Rogers & Cowan PMK chief executive Cindi Berger told the New York Times that the Hollywood icon died early Tuesday morning at his home in Utah.

On the other hand, the cause of death was not revealed; however, they said he died in his sleep.
