Lebanese artist Razan Al Moughrabi is preparing a surprise for her fans in the new drama series “Ada Al Nahar” (Except the Day. )
The series, starring Razan, was created by Muhammad Safa Amer and directed by Ismail Abed Al Hafeth.
On the series Razan will perform the songs of famous female Egyptian singers from the golden era. Such as “In Rah Minak Ya Ain-Al Qalb Maak- Yala Tala” by Shadya, “Ya Aaz Min Aini” (Worth More than My Eyes) by the late singer Laila Murad and “Al Postajyeh Ishtako” (Mailmen On Strike) by Raja Abdoh.
According to the London daily Elaph, Razan also finished recording her first song “Te’alni Izay Itshofni” (You’re Asking Me How To See Me) for the new drama series. The song was written by Saeed Hajab and composed by Al Shri’ie.
Razan said that she is extremely happy to be working with composer Al Shiri’ie. She listens to many songs that he composed for famous artists like Wardah, Mayada Al HInawai, Maha Sabri, Ali Al Hajar, and Midhat Saleh, said Razan.
The new series “Ada Al Nahar” is a major production that will be aired on multiple satellite channels during the coming holy month of Ramadan. There are more than 50 actors taking roles in the new series, like Egyptian Salah Al Sa’dani, Samir Sabri, Afaf Shaieb, Mina Fadli and Lebanese singer Nicole Saba.
The first part of the series takes place between 1966 and 1967, and depicts how life for average Egyptians changed after the bloody war of 1967. The second part of the series takes place in 1973, another turning point in modern Egyptian history.
