Known as the Super Star of the Middle East, Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh has announced that his new album will be hitting the shelves in the coming few days, according to the Saudi daily, Al Riyadh newspaper.

“Leih Kida” (Why is this?!), will mark the first album for the forty-year old Alameh after joining the Alam Al Fan Production Company last year. The company’s producer, Mohsen Jaber, has chosen Ragheb Alameh to be one of the many Arab’s most successful artists the company has.

The ten-song album is promised to be Alameh’s strongest come back after his one and a half-year absence since the last album, “Saharouni Al Leil” (Your Eyes Kept Me Awake All Night).

With the Palestinian Kafiyyah on his shoulders, last May, the super star has sang one of the album’s new songs at the “Cairo TV Nights” in solidarity with the Intifada, entitled “Bi Auloo Nihna al Sabab” (They Say We Are the Reason) composed by him and written by Tony Karam. “I tried to select the least bloody and catastrophic scenes so that the song will be balanced in consistency with the difficult circumstances our Palestinian brothers are facing,” commenting on the song’s music video. – Albawaba.com
