Ragheb Alama survived the terrorist attack which shook one part of Beirut yesterday.

Ragheb told Laha Magazine that he (and his family) were sleeping when the explosion happened, but awoke from the powerful sound.

Following the incident, the Lebanese star tweeted:

“The explosion took place 50 meters away from my office, and 500 meters away from my home. May the souls of the innocent dead rest in peace. May those injured be soon healed. May God protect all the innocents in the world.”

The UN Goodwill Ambassador stressed his utter resentment at the terrorist act and prayed that God will punish those responsible for it.

He further noted that those brutal terrorists do not fear God, and use their religion in vain to excuse their actions.

At least seven people were killed following the car bomb explosion near the Iranian embassy, an Al Arabiya correspondent reported.
