Syrian actress Qamar Khalaf stated that she feels great sorrow for the current blooded conditions that have overclouded her beloved country Syria. She stated that the conditions, with protests breaking out in the streets demanding the resignation of the current government and the constant bloodshed resulting from clashes between citizens and police/military officials, has forced her to hold a very private and secret wedding ceremony.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Khalaf said that she and her now husband Syrian actor Mehyar Khudour held a small wedding in the presence of family members and very close friends. She noted that the conditions are not suitable to hold any big bash.
Qamar criticized people’s wishes of having stars make public comments regarding the tragic conditions in Syria stating that such comments should be made by politicians since they are more educated in such matters.
She added that there is one thing that all Syrians agree on regardless of their political views, which is their desire for conditions to return to normal and the country is safe and secure once more.
