Problems between Faris Karam and Ameel Silyati over a t-shirt

Lebanese singer Faris Karam just finished filming two music video clips for songs from his latest album, produced by the music production company ‘Rotana.’

According to the London daily Elaph, the two songs are “Eini Beina” (Look Straight into My Eyes) and “Naswanji” (Women Eyeser). This time Faris chose director Ameel Silyati after he was criticized for only working with the director Walid Nasif, who directed 10 clips for him.

Silyati chose the night club “Le Rouge” to film the clip, because the scenario revolves around a guy’s night out.  During the filming problems arose between Faris and Silyati over Faris not wanting to wear a black shirt chosen by the director.  Faris thought a T-shirt was more suitable for the scene, since he was out at a night club.

‘Rotana’ said there are no problems between Faris and Silyati and that the clip will be aired on its channel soon.

Faris said there were only minor problems and a difference in viewpoints, nothing more. Faris also said that Silyati is a “very good director.”
