Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson confirmed on The Tonight Show that he is engaged to singer Ariana Grande.
Davidson discussed with host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday what it was like being in the spotlight more after news broke that the couple became engaged after a few weeks of dating.
"I feel like I won a contest. It's [expletive] lit Jimmy. It's so lit," Davidson said to Fallon before describing how people have started to approach him in public.
"Did you ever see that Derek Jeter commercial where he's retiring and everybody just tips their hats. Some dude came up to me and said, 'Dude, you gave me hope.'"
Davidson also questioned the amount of media attention he is receiving. "Why do people care? It's very weird. Like, the President is trying to pardon himself and he's [expletive] a porn star. Like, shouldn't we care about that?" Davidson said.
Grande and Davidson were first linked in May following the pop star's split from rapper Mac Miller. News of their engagement then surfaced in June.
