After several last minute changes, Lebanese singer Pascal Mashalaani's latest clip "Ahlam Al Banat" has made it onto YouTube. The clip underwent several modifications with certain scenes being deleted on the singer's request.
The song is written and composed by Lebanese singer and composer Marwan Khoury, distributed by Milhim Abu Shadid and the clip is directed by Joe Bu Eid.
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Pascal had personally selected the scenes to be omitted, judging them too daring and inappropriate. The scenes that were omitted include a daring dance segment, a scene where she is smoking, and one of a man laying on the ground with a bleeding foot.
Pascal feared that such scenes would diminish the romantic and classy image people have of her, something she believes has made her famous.
Rumors have it that Pascal and director of the clip are at odds with one another due to the modifications made. Joe Bu Eid refused to have his name placed on the modified version of the clip and uploaded the original version on his official channel on YouTube. Joe denied the existence of disputes with Pascal and stated that he did not place his name on the final version of the clip because he is not convinced with the modifications made.
