With the grandeur of your home and sleekness of your vehicle holding high value in this neck of the woods, everyone would imagine that a classic celebrity would flaunt that and more to show the magnitude of his wealth. That's why everyone is super confused on why Egyptian actor Omar Sharif is holding up in just a hotel and relying on public transport to get around.
News began to circulate that the star had gone bankrupt and didn't even have the cash to cover the hotel expenses where he currently resides, all the while leaving fans wondering why he didn't plan ahead better for his future with a sweet savings for his old age.
According to Sayidaty.net, Omar's press spokesperson director Enas Baker said in a very saddened state of mind, "I swear to God that all that is being said about Omar is not true in any way. Who said Omar Sharif is broke and announced his bankruptcy? This is nonsense and is gibberish talk. Omar has a vast wealth that is above normal and the hotel he resides at in Paris is one of the most expensive hotels that not just anyone can afford."
When asked why Omar does not own a home, Enas said, "Why should he have a home when he lives alone. He cannot live alone between four enclosed walls and who will take care of him then?." Enas referred to the late legend Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki and said he had owned a beautiful mansion on the banks of the Nile River and still preferred to reside a large portion of his days at a hotel."
With regards to why Omar uses taxis to move around, Enas stressed that he hates driving and hates being in traffic to buy a car and drive it himself. She added he is a simple man despite his fortune and likes to lead his life in the simplest way.
