The empty space in legendary actor Omar Sharif's trophy cabinet won't be filled until after Eid al-Adha as the Association of Cinema Critics has announced it will be holding off its highly anticipated awards ceremony until after the muslim holiday.

The Egyptian leading man is set to be awarded for his starring role in 'Al Musafer' (The Traveler). The film has beaten off tough competition and is set to walk home with 'Best Egyptian Film in 2011' - but the recent decision to postpone the ceremony means that Omar will have to be patient.

It's not all bad news though - without the ceremony, the star can take a well earned rest over Eid and prepare for that all important acceptance speech!
