Egyptian actress Noorhan is currently in the process of working on a number of different TV series at the same time. One of the series she is acting in is "Khan Al Kanadeel" alongside prominent Egyptian actors Izzat Al Alali and Sofia Al Omari.
According to the London based daily, Al Hayat, Noorhan plays the role of "Suzan", who is a college student infatuated with everything Western and dreams of living like they do. Throughout the course of events, Suzan meets an American guy over the internet and begins to exchange emails until she realizes that she has fallen in love. Her dilemma begins when she finds out that he is Jewish, and has to make the hardest decision she of either staying with him or leaving him.
Noorhan is also taking part in three other TV drama series, each showing a different side to her. The actress has noted that she did not want to loose the opportunity of acting in any of the series due to the fact that each presents a new experience which will help enrich her career.
At one point when Noorhan finally began filming the scenes for her first film (Awal Mara Ithib Ya Qalbi" (The First Time My Heart falls in Love) alongside Egyptian actress Jala Fahmi, the actress found herself surrounded by three different rumors each worse than the other. All three rumors dealt with the issue of love and marriage to different men from the acting world.
The first rumor stated that she is living a romantic love story with Egyptian actor Mustafa Shabaan, and that the two were very serious about their relationship. The second rumor had it that she was in love with Egyptian singer Ahmad Hilal and the last stated that she was involved with Egyptian soccer star Ibrahim Saeed. When the actress was confronted with the different rumors being circulated, she stressed that they all are untrue and she is not intimately involved with any of the men mentioned. She added that she is good friends with Mustafa and knows Ahmad on a casual level, but she was most surprised about Ibrahim, whom she had never met in her life.
Noorhan revealed that she is not in any relationship, and that she looks forward to the day where she meets the right man and builds a life with. She added that she is very surprised with the rise of these rumors at a time where she is filled with ecstasy with her first film experience. Noorhan also admitted that the reason behind her not being in any film until now is due to the fact that she had made it a point to carefully choose her roles, and had stressed that she will not accept any roles that involve any form of sexuality and seduction.
In May of last year, the actress reflected her extraordinary acting capabilities in the play "Hasan and Bahiyyah", which marked her debut on stage. The play, which was directed by Rola al Fattal from Syria, is based on a script written by poet Naguib Suroor. Noorhan who is still a student at the faculty of Arts preferred to debut at the state owned theater although its audience is different from the audience of the private theaters, which represent the broad base of the society.
In her appearance in the series "Hadrat al Mohtaram" (Dear Kind Sirs) based on a novel by the Egyptian Nobel Prize-winning writer Naguib Mahfouz, Noorhan highlighted her artistic competency and talent rather than her beautiful appearance. She presents herself as a continuation of romance production stars amid the cheap consumption wave, which depends on seduction and comedy.
However, the actress is not yet known by the cinema industry, as the number of films in which she played in is limited despite her success in TV. “I am still waiting for the work that suits me best.
