Kuwait is in mourning over Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz, who passed away Thursday evening at the age of 91, and won't have any special concerts to cheer them up. The Hala February Music Festival's remaining concerts have been cancelled.
According to Al Jaras magazine, the gigs that got nixed included performances by Lebanese songstress Nancy Ajram, UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmi and Palestine's golden boy Mohammad Assaf. They were all who scheduled to hold the closing performances on Friday.
It was reported that Nancy and Hussein had already arrived in country ahead of their concerts before the announcement of the king's death.
Sad day, indeed.
