Fayza Ahmed is a prominent Arab singer. Her songs are still performed by the Arab singers despite the elapse of nine years after her death.
Ahmed was born in the Lebanese city of Tyre in 1938 and started singing career early in her childhood when she used to sing at al Farouk theatre.
The second phase of her artistic life started when she sang on the stages of Aleppo theatres. In 1955, Ahmed moved to Damascus and recorded her first song in the Syrian radio.
Her first Arab participation in Alexandria Festival gave her wide reputation at the Arab level. In Egypt, Ahmed’s thrilling voice and excellent performance won the admiration of outstanding composers and pushed them to give her many compositions such as The Stranger and Lover.
In the 1960s, Ahmed became one of the most important singers in the Arab Homeland. Mohammed Sultan, her husband gave her many compositions.
After she gained ground as a famous singer, Ahmed moved to cinema where she played the main roles in many feature films.
