Sources at the Egyptian television satellite channel ‘Al Hayat’ have revealed that Lebanese television host Razan Moughrabi has been let go by the station and will be replaced by Lebanese singer/actress Nicole Saba. It is said that Nicole will be hosting a new program the channel will air instead of Razan. A titled for the show which Nicole will host has not yet been decided on.
This step comes after the channel decided to not broadcast the show “Zoro Masr” (Visit Egypt), which Razan had filmed and was to be aired on the channel. In the recent months, active members on different internet websites had launched protesting campaigns against Razan stating that she should be banned from appearing on any Egyptian channel and she is not the right person to promote tourism for Egypt after her scandalous video that was released over the internet a few months ago.
It was added that having Razan promote tourism in Egypt is an insult to the country and all Egyptians, and having her appear on an Egyptian channel means that the said channel has no respect for Egyptian society and its beliefs and traditions.
Before Razan had disappeared from the scenes, she had accused one of the female artists of being behind the leaking of the scandalous video of her and alleged husband.
