But Nicki Minaj was showing off her softer side at this year's Met Gala.
The rapper, 36, brought the girl power to the New York City fashion soiree in a delicate pink mini dress with seemingly never-ending train on Monday.

Nicki was set to potentially reunite with Cardi B inside the fashion soiree, almost a year after the infamous shoe-throwing incident at the Harper's Bazaar ICONS Party during New York Fashion Week.
Setting that aside, the rapper wore a poker face as she worked the event in her princess meets party girl ensemble.
The dress was outfitted with a sweetheart cut neckline and fitted waist, accentuating her cleavage and curves.
Nicki's dress was bedazzled with silvery accents framing the bust and skirt, giving her delicate princess look a glamorous touch.
She also rocked a pair of eye-catching platform heels, which wrapped their way all up to her thighs.

Yet the real statement-making piece was the elaborate train that followed Nicki around.
The train remained at the foot of the stairs, even though Nicki had already climbed a decent portion of the steps.
It was just eight months ago Nicki's presence at another fashion party made waves around the world.
Nicki was attending the Harper's Bazaar ICONS party during NYFW when Cardi infamously threw her shoe at the rapper. Nicki left the party unscathed.
It was claimed the altercation came after Nicki was seen liking social media posts that took swipes at Cardi's parenting abilities. The Bang Bang rapper has since denied these allegations.
Cardi seemed to suggest this was so, as she later released a profanity-laden statement vaguely explaining her actions.
In her Instagram post, Cardi B wrote: 'I've let a lot of s**t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat!
'You've threaten (sic) other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f**kin with them!! I let you talk bit s**t about me!! I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!!
'But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**kin off! I've worked to (sic) hard and come too far to let anybody f**k with my success!!!!
'B***hes talk all that sh*t in they raps but in real life they p***y. This sh*t really is for entertainment.'
