Producer Nahed Fareed Shawqi has chosen television producer Raed Labib to direct her upcoming film “Mashi Yekalm Nafseh” (Walking while Talking to himself), which is written by Lineen Al Ramli. The new film falls under the genre black comedy and tackles political, economical and social issues in Egypt.
According to the London based Elaph, Nahed and Raed have revealed that their nomination for the leading role in the film is between Egyptian actresses Muna Zaki and Hanan Turk hoping that one will accept the role to act alongside Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz or Ashraf Abdul Baqi. Neither actresses have given their initial acceptance to play the role until this moment.
Recently the two actresses denied circulating rumors that a dispute has erupted between them over the role of Cinderella in the new film “Al Andaleeb”. Muna assured that neither her nor Hanan were nominated to portray the late actress Suad Husni, also known as the Cinderella, and the fact is a new actress will be given the role.
On her part, Hanan stressed that she is tired of such rumors of constant disputes with Muna, assuring that she and Muna are very good friends and are looking for a film to join them together.
Rumors had it that Muna had taken the role of Egypt’s Cinderella from Hanan, after the two hadbeen struggling for some time to win the part in the new film alongside prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki. It was added that Muna and Hanan went through a crucial competition that ended with Hanan’s elimination after the production company felt that she is an over exhausted actress in addition to her frail figure that makes her incapable of portraying the role of the Cinderella.
