ALBAWABA - Popular streaming service Netflix is under fire across social media for casting an Israeli actress as 'Mary' in its upcoming film, since Israel has resulted in the killing of many Palestinian women, before and after Oct. 7, 2023.
Netflix is referring to it as an "epic coming-of-age biblical" that will tell the story of the Virgin Mary and her journey to giving birth to Jesus Christ. The streaming platform cast 21-year-old Israeli actress and model Noa Cohen setting the internet ablaze for its choice.
Although Noa Cohen is taking all the heat for being the lead actress, most of the cast in the upcoming 'MARY' film are Israeli including Ido Tako, Hilla Vidor, Ori Pfeffer, and more.
