Kuwaiti singer Nawal has completed the recording the songs for her upcoming album, which will be produced and released by Rotana Music Production Company. The singer’s new album will feature 12 new songs each carefully chosen and composed and written by some of the most prominent composers and poets.

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, one of the highlights of Nawal’s album is a song sung in proper Arabic written by the well-known poet Dr. Suad Al Sabah under the title “A’erif Rajulan” (I Know a Man). Nawal has also included a song in the Egyptian dialect, which is a first time attempt by the singer.

Nawal’s song “El Shoog Jabak” (Longing Brought You Back) was the last song she had released under the direction of Lebanese director Mirna Khaiat Abu Elias. The song composed by Mash’al Al Arouj is from her latest album released under the name of Nawal 2002. The singer was afraid at first to try something new fearing it may not match her style and may not be accepted by her audience. Once she had read the script for the music video and noticed all the lighting, number of dancers, and extravagant wardrobe, she felt more at ease and became eager to begin shooting. – Albawaba.com
