Sources have revealed that prominent Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi will be participating in the events of the annual Carthage Music Festival in Tunisia. The singer’s performance is said to take place on August 8, after which she will hold a tour in different cities around Tunisia.
The concert in Carthage will mark the singer’s return after an absence that lasted up to eight years, reported the London based Elaph.
Nawal is currently preparing to film a new music video for the song “Aghla Al Habaib” (The Dearest Ones) from her latest album “Yama Alo” (They always said). The new clip will be filmed in Lebanon under the direction of Randa Al Alam.
Al Zoughbi has become the official promotional star for the international company LG Electronics. The company chose Nawal as the face for their promotional campaign for the new cellular phone ‘Shine’.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Nawal signed a one year contract with the company. A press conference was held for the occasion in Dubai, and the singer briefly talked about her joy at being chosen by the company stating that she is very careful about which company she deals with when chosen to promote a product.
Nawal stated that before she was offered to promote for the phone she had seen it in one of the magazines and was very impressed with it.
On a different note, an agreement was reached between Nawal and Canadian born Lebanese singer Misari to sing a new duet. The duet will be a mixture of oriental and western music.
Negotiations between Nawal and the music production company ‘Rotana’ have ended on a positive note with an agreement reached between both sides.
The singer and the company had been holding negotiations for some time, and finally after a common ground was found with regards to conditions placed by both sides, a special signing ceremony was held to make the announcement publicly.
Rotana was the first company the singer had joined at the launch of her career, after which she headed to the company Alam El Phan, owned by Muhsin Jaber. After her breakup with Alam El Phan, the singer produced some of her from her own finances.
