It's a very special day for a very special lady in the region. Our beloved songstress Fairuz turned 78-years-old today. Born in 1935, Fairuz faces a very different Lebanon than that of the day of her birth, but her fame has stayed the same for decades.
Fans have posted social media well wishes and greetings to the musical legend today, including co-patriot songstress Nawal Al Zoghbi. "Happy #Birthday lady #Feyrouz #Legend #History ♥," the platinum selling artist Tweeted.
This isn't the first time Nawal has given a shout out to an old school Lebanese singer; when Wadih al-Safi passed away, Nawal was one of the first to Tweet her respects.
