Eli Deeb, husband of the famous Lebanese artist Nawal Al Zoghbi, opened his heart to a Lebanese magazine about his relationship with Nawal, revealing personal issues Nawal wanted to keep within the boundaries of her home.
Deeb said the Church in Lebanon denied Nawal’s request for the divorce.
Deeb said Nawal’s Sharm Al Sheikh concert last year marked the end of their marriage.
Deeb also said that there is no communication between him and Nawal and that he does not even know her phone number.
Deeb said that he does not interfere with Nawal’s private choices, although they are still married under the Church’s laws.
Nawal has never publically stated the reasons behind her divorce.
