Nasir Shammah to Play Music for Palestinian and Iraqi Children

The Egyptian Opera Hose will organize Wednesday a concert based on playing the Lute to be performed by the Iraqi player Nasir Shammah at al Gomhuria Theater, according to the daily al Messa. 

Shammah will perform the concert under the title Min al Qalb (From the Heart) in which he will play music pieces he composed. These pieces depict the impacts of the Arab circumstances on him as some of his music pieces will be about the Palestinian and Iraqi children. 

The Iraqi musician works as an expert for the Egyptian Opera Talent Development Center where he established a class called Bait al Oud (Lute House). 

At the same theater, a concert will be performed Tuesday by the Watariyyah Family led by the violin player Mahmoud Ottoman, professor at the conservatory, in collaboration with an elite group of the institute students. 

The concert program includes music works by international musicians including Mozart, Sarasate, Chaikovsky, in addition to music pieces by the Egyptian composer Rageh Daoud who composed many pieces specially for this concert -- Albawaba.com
