Her tough childhood and personal life has inspired Lebanese singer Najwa Karam to write a special song about her mother.

According to the London based daily, Dar Al Hayat, the serious medical issues Najwa’s mother and father suffered led the singer go into isolation for a few days to write the new song.

The song, descried as emotional and from the heart, was given to composer Wissam Al Ameer in order to release it as a single.

The song stresses the importance of treating one’s parents in the best way possible, and being there for them physically and emotionally. It is said the song will make people look at their parents in a different way.

Karam announced that she will participate in this year’s Jarash Music Festival in Jordan, and plans to hold a concert on August 10.

She will not participate in the Carthage Festival in Tunisia.

Najwa’s business manager Karam Tareq Abu Jodeh, who is also her nephew, said there were never any issues between Najwa and the administration of the Jarash Festival, is just took time to agree upon a time for her performance. Finally, the she had to cancel a prescheduled concert in order to be present at the festival, said Tareq.
