According to the London daily Elaph, famous Lebanese artists Najwa Karam and Melhim Barakat cancelled their performance  scheduled for August 15th at the Oscar Palace in Lebanon.

The concert was cancelled due to conflicts between the leading Arab production company ‘Rotana’ and the well-known concert contractor Adel Matouq.

Najwa and Melhim said the concert has only been postponed.

Both artists have released a memo announcing that they did not want to sing in a tense environment since there are problems between the production company ‘Rotana’ and the owner of the resort “Oscar Palace.”

Najwa and Melhim said that they respect ‘Rotana’ and they consider the company as their home. They also said that they respect for the resort owner, but they would rather wait until the problems are resolved.
