February 26th marked the birthday of Lebanese singer Najwa Karam. The singer was overwhelmed when family, friends, and fans from all around the world filled her home with flowers as a token of their love and appreciation for the singer. Fans of Najwa decided to celebrate her birthday by turning her home a paradise filled with beautiful flowers.

According to the London based Elaph, the idea behind the unusual surprise is due to the fact that flowers convey the message of love and compassion all over the world. Najwa’s fans wanted to tell their favorite singer Happy Birthday in one language and wishing her many happy returns.

On a different note, the singer recently completed the final touches of her upcoming album with music distributor Tariq Akaf, which is to be released in summer, under the production of the Music Production Company Rotana. Najwa had previously declined all offers to hold concerts around the Arab world in order to dedicate her time entirely to completing her album, which she regards her number one priority at the time.

Najwa had revealed in an interview that she does not plan to leave her current record company Rotana despite a number of disputes present between them. The main conflict between her and Rotana is the fact the company is loosing its prestige by adding so many new people to its list of singers and placing them with ones who have been in the industry for some time.

Najwa added that she is not against the idea of new singers, but rather against placing new comers at the same level as the more prominent singers who have had more experience in the world of music. She feels that those who have made a name for themselves in the music industry should not be categorized with those who are just starting out. Each singer should be placed at a certain level according to his/her accomplishments and not be regarded as a whole group just so the record company can make a profit.

The singer also added that from now on her life will be off limits and closed to anyone wishing to know anything, and forbidding any questions that concern her privacy. She had come along way during the past twelve years to make a name for herself in the music world and has succeeded doing so. She is not about to let all that she has worked for go to waste to satisfy people who are sick in the head and have nothing better to do than to ruin the lives of others and cause them despair. –Albawaba.com
